President Alexander Lukashenko has signed Decree No. 1, declaring 2025 the Year of Improvement.
The year 2025 marks the beginning of a five-year quality initiative and includes a comprehensive set of measures aimed at creating and maintaining a comfortable, safe, modern, and aesthetically organized living environment. These activities will be implemented through cooperation between the state, organizations, and citizens.
Throughout 2025, large-scale actions will be taken, including land beautification, improvement of settlements, industrial facilities, and maintenance of areas along highways and railways. At least two nationwide volunteer clean-up days will be held.
The Government has been tasked with approving the national action plan for the Year of Improvement within one month.
The decree also calls for the expansion of volunteer movements and the implementation of civic initiatives focused on beautifying the country.
The Year of Improvement is intended to unite the efforts of the state and society to further enhance the quality of life in the Republic of Belarus.

On December 4, 2024, an exhibition of the People’s Achievements of Brest Region was held, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the First Region. A number of enterprises and manufacturers from across the Brest Region took part in the exhibition!
To mark this significant occasion, the employees of “Barkhim” developed and released an exclusive design of their liquid detergent for wool and silk (ICEBERG wool), featuring the anniversary number 85 and a majestic bison — the symbol of the First Region. The students were introduced to the operations of a newly modernized workshop for the production of liquid detergents. They had the opportunity to see how the enterprise operates from the inside and learned about the skills required for specific professions.
The Presidential Election in Belarus will take place on January 26, 2025. This decision was made on October 23 during a session of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus. The following day, the Central Election Commission approved the Calendar Plan of Organizational Activities for preparing and conducting the presidential election.
According to the established schedule, the signature collection campaign in support of nominating candidates is currently underway and will continue until December 6.
Early voting for citizens will begin on January 21.
As a reminder, presidential candidates in Belarus must be nominated by citizens with the support of at least 100,000 voter signatures. A candidate may also be nominated by an initiative group of at least 100 voters.
From November 19 to 21, one of the most anticipated exhibitions of the year — CleanExpo — will take place in Moscow.
This event will bring together leading manufacturers and suppliers of chemical products for both household and industrial use.
