VII ALL-BELARUSIAN PEOPLE’S ASSEMBLY

26.04.2024

On April 24–25, 2024, one of the most significant events in the political life of the country took place — the VII All-Belarusian People’s Assembly. The slogan of the event was: “The time has chosen us!”

The historic importance of the moment was marked by the new status of the Assembly, new functions, and new powers granted to the delegates. The President of the Republic of Belarus described the Assembly as a protective barrier against potential dangerous processes that contradict the interests of society and the state.

As part of the Assembly’s proceedings, voting was held to elect the Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson, and the Presidium of the Assembly. Key national documents were adopted: the National Security Concept of the Republic of Belarus and the Military Doctrine of the Republic of Belarus.

“Our task is to protect the sovereignty and independence of our Homeland. We must preserve our country and ensure its happy future. No one else will do it for us.”

Representing the Brest Region’s parliamentary body, Natalya Kostyukevich, Deputy Director and Head of the Planning and Economic Department of OJSC “Barkhim”, participated in the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly as a delegate.
